Army Staff Sgt. George M. Haack, of 119 Walnut Street, Nutley, was
killed in action on Sept. 8, 1944.
Haack enlisted at Fort Dix, N.J., on March 6, 1942. He served in 48th Armored Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division. Born Dec. 11, 1913, the son of Anna and Frank Haack, he is survived by brothers Joseph, John, and Walter, and sisters Dorothy and Anna. SSgt. Haack was repatriated and interred at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, Bergen County, New Jersey. His service ID is 32246442 Haack, S/Sgt. George M.
