Killed in Munitions Dump Explosion

(Dec. 1, 1944) -- Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Des Jardins,  formerly of 318 Park Avenue, this town, have been notified by the War Department that their son Pfc. Joseph A. Des Jardins Jr., 19, of the 313th Field Artillery Battalion was killed Nov. 5 in France when an ammunition dump exploded.

Besides his parents, he leaves three brothers, Donald, Richard and Edgar.
