William Harrison, Stevedore Regiment,

Dies of Pneumonia in Newport News, Va.

William L. Harrison, colored, of the Stevedore Regiment, Camp Stuart, Newport News, Va., died on May 4, 1918, of pneumonia.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Harrison, of No. 6th Street, Newark.

The Nutley World War I memorial monument lists him as William Lewis Harrison, however the newspaper accounts list him as William R. Harrison. The American Legion photo lists no middle name or initial.
